is 7.5lbs considered a light weight rifle..............................thats without a scope. I dont like them to be to heavy like 9 plus lbs. I would guess that with my scope it would go almost 9 lbs....... I believe a 4-16 Huskemaw is 16oz I have a 17 Remington on a McMillian scout stock the is perfect built by TS Customs shoots like a dream its just that I would want the same weight rifle on my 6mm Creedmoor

Personally I'd say that is a medium ish weight rifle. here is roughly how I'd break it down.
Ultralight - 5lbs or less
Lightweight- 5-6.5 lbs
Med- 6.5-8.5
Heavy-8.5-12
Competition weight- over 12lbs
