I have a lightweight 5.75 pound 30-06 rem 700 ss mountain rifle (.553" at muzzle) that I want a brake on.

2 choices for gun smith--Kevin @ Weaver or Rich @ HTC

3 choices for brakes-- full custom contoured HTC brake, full custom Weaver countered brake, or MBM 4 port mini beast .670" OD brake tapered to muzzle diameter (most likely this rifle will need the 7/16" tread as I'm not sure the 1/2" will have enough shoulder)

I know both Rich and Kevin do quality work, does one have a better brake design than the other?

man, I figured with all the recommendations for Weaver and HTC as gun smiths that someone would have used one of their muzzle brakes before
