You need to bed it as it really doesn't come in contact with the front pillar. I used a thin washer trimmed with a dremel to shim up the front and used Brownells Steelbed. I also removed the front pressure point on the stock.
The trigger is impossible to get to an acceptable level and still have the safety engage. I replaced with a Timney which also converts the safety to a three position. HI-SCORE gunsmithing will rework your factory trigger cheaper although I found this out too late. Now the gun is a shooter.
