Wats the best RF Bino out there

I have been rocking a set of Leica Geovids since 2008, I love them and I don't think I can ever go back to bino/RF as separate units. That being said I know there's lots of new technology out there. I think I'm due an upgrade so I want all the new models to wine, dine and… well … I want to see what everyone thinks of the newest stuff out there from the top brands.

IMO the new Leica's, the Geovid 3200.COM still offer the best combination of accurate ranging and top end glass. The Leica's geovids, Swarovski EL range and Zeiss victory RF all have comparable glass despite the Leica's being a porro prism design. The Vortex and Sig rangefinders are good but a step down in optical quality. The EL range has the oldest model rangefinder and I believe it suffers a bit in comparison to the newer ones. I don't have any personal experience ranging with the Zeiss but when I checked a few years ago it came behind the Leica on ranging tests. That may have changed and if so the Zeiss would also be an excellent option.

You would probably be happy with any of the big three though so don't take my personal opinions as gospel.

Well said. the 3200.COM is a stellar combo unit. Ergonomics and handling are perfect (for me) as well. Last I checked the Swaros didn't have quite as good lasing performance...but always worth checking if updated models offer improvements. I didn't care for the layout on the Zeiss but cannot speak to their performance. I wouldn't 2nd guess any of their glass.

Best Glass or best ballistics engine? I would be all over that Sig 10K if I thought the glass would be as good as my old 1 Gen Leica's.

Has anybody played with the newer Swarovski EL Range TA?

I have one and like it except for two things: neither are a deal breaker.

• It won't range as far as other LRF's...i have gotten 1800 on large rocks but if no rocks are present it will not range that far. So I would say that it won't range far enough for some people.
• It only has room for 3 stored rifles on the app - it is easy to switch between them but I want more than 3 bc I have more than 3 rifles. That to me seems like it should be a simple update of the app so I am hopeful Swaro will fix that (I don't think any changes would need to be made to the LRF which would make it a less fixable issue).

Also, the forehead rest helps a lot.

Definitely prefer the Zeiss Victory RF over the Leica's. Glass quality is a wash IMO but Zeiss ballistics are superior

The new swaro els ballistics work identical to my sig 2400 abs. Optically magnificent. My only complaint is that they only hold 3 rifle profiles.
