Good job guys!! I have noticed that the Arms List is just full of bogus adds. Buyer beware!!!

Re: WARNING!!! SCAM IN HARRISBURG PA Anyone from that area please contact me, maybe you can hel

Glad to hear you got your MO back !!!!

I wasn't so lucky....I sent a USPS MO thru USPS Priority Mail to someone off of Armslist in Henrico, VA. They received the MO last Monday and I haven't heard a word out of them since. They sent their home address, pics of the rifle, and everything. I sent a few emails and made a few calls, no response.

I went to the Post Office yesterday and got the Mail Fraud form, filled it out along with my documentation, and will send it off Monday.

Gotta love it.

Respect you a lot for the effort you put out to help a member being scammed.

Thanks Paul,
I would want someone to do the same for me if the tables were turned.

Good job Mr. Russo! Glad the *** didn't get the money. I would be interested in seeing your new action if you have literature on it yet.

After a similar issue on this site, a member had a great suggestion. Have the seller email a pic with his driver's license and rifle with serial in the same pic.

After hearing some of these horror stories, I would only buy a rifle from this site and from a member who has been a full fledged participant for a long time.

Also, another member got scammed a while back on the east coast and was able to successfully have the thief prosecuted.

That's a great idea.....wish I had done that.

I filled out a USPS Mail Fraud Report over the weekend......will mail it off tomorrow. I doubt I see my money again though....

Re: WARNING!!! SCAM IN HARRISBURG PA Anyone from that area please contact me, maybe you can hel

Don't mail your money to a stranger, anymore than you would hand it to a stranger on the city street, unless you're able to accept a loss as a donation to charity.

I've purchased from a few members from this forum, but only those with a solid history of membership and involvement. All good results to date. Honest as the sun is bright.

Scammers can't afford to develop a history of involvement on a Forum like this one. It's too large of an investment of their time. They'd run out of drug money over the length of time it would take to establish themselves as credible members.

Re: WARNING!!! SCAM IN HARRISBURG PA Anyone from that area please contact me, maybe you can hel

Well, I just got off the phone with my "scammer". They have not been answering their phone until today.....turns out the info that I have is a real person, but she is getting scammed by the infamous "Nigerian Scam"...........he told her that I am a friend, that he is in Africa trying to get home, that she needs to cash my MO and send the money to him, and that she can't contact me because I am not at home. She said he has been harassing her for months.....she had my money order with her and has not cashed it yet. She read my name and address back to me and said she would send it back to me tomorrow.

Now, I guess it's possible she is the scammer, but she sounded honest.....we will see. I have my paperwork ready to go.

Maybe I'll have a happy ending after all !!!!

Re: WARNING!!! SCAM IN HARRISBURG PA Anyone from that area please contact me, maybe you can hel

After MXracer had the postal service intercept his money order, we tried to get this tool to meet up with me for a face to face transaction, but unfortunately, he didn't have the balls to.
Would have been a good time, for me.

Nate, I have a prototype of our action at the house if you want to take a look at it...

better watch out joel on the face to face meeting with scammers.they rarely come alone and unarmed.i myself have had to make a drive or two to retrieve either my funds or my merchandise from lame *** sellers, and have been in serious fights and even a shootout with scammers.
