So whats the deal with the Leupold VX3HD is it just a rebranding or is it an improvement over the VX3i.

Optical quality improvement, and now there is CDS on all scopes in the 3HD line. Otherwise they just have it renames it 3HD to be consistent with 5HD and 6HD

Where did you find that at? Leupold doesn't show the fire dot as a option that I can find?

It's called the firedot twilight hunter reticle? I'm in New Zealand, no idea if that makes a difference but I wouldn't think so
