I currently have the 10x42 HD and was wondering how people would compare them to the uhd. Is it worth the price to buy the uhd?

Did a comparison a while back. The glass is better on the UHD. Mainly the edge to edge clarity. They are ~30% bigger and heavier though. Not sure that would be worth it.
You can get Razor HDs for close to $650 new right now which hurts used prices and makes the jump of nearly double to UHD silly (IMO).
UHD is as close as your gonna get to alpha glass in vortex. Many say it isn't close, I personally disagree. But for a few hundred more you can have used alpha and you don't have to wonder.
I'd look at Zeiss SFLs if I wanted to go up to the $1200+ range.
