Vortex Gen 3, 6-36x56 Announced

Posts dropped about the new Gen 3, 6-36x56 Razor earlier today. Looks like a pretty solid offering. Will be interesting to see how good the clarity is on the high end of the mag range. Glad to see that they moved the numbers in the reticle to the outside of the tree. makes it much cleaner i think.

I'm expecting that the street price will probably be quite a bit less. Vortex's MSRPS always seem to be quite a bit beyond the average price to consumers. But if they made a good step up with the optical quality then I think it will be well accepted. No reason it wouldn't be even at $4k

Yeah, 2999 is the MAP.

They raised prices on all their other scopes, particularly the Gen2 Razor - almost 25% on the Gen 2's - which is extreme in my opinion. This is an 8 yr old scope after all.

It's geared towards prs competition. Definitely not a hunting optic that's for sure

Vortex vendors said street price will be roughly $3000 - 3200. I don't know what TTs go for, since I don't eat caviar.

@300whisper Map is 2,999... And that's what everyone has it for right now that I've seen.

ZCO and TT are more expensive.

I've looked through a ZCO scope....Vortex would have to had really stepped up their game to be comparable....but the ZCO is $4k......, maybe $3500 on new open box deal....rsbhunter
