I was doing a side by side comparison in the store of the Diamondback hp 3-12X42 and the Viper hs 2.5-10X44 and i will admit that the viper was the better scope, but to my eyes the difference wasn't incredibly one way or the other.. I was wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with either or both. I will be most likely purchasing one of these around the first of October for a 270, I know I would need 30mm rings and getting those for a Ruger seems to be hard. The ultimate deciding factor will be how much of a bonus i get from work but i would like to think i could do the Viper. Any input would be appreciated.
