VLD question

RockZ, Thanks, I switched from GM215M's to CCI250's. I will say this though I get the opposite results with my 300WM it prefers the 215's.

Caleb, my coal is 3.519 but I load off the ogive giving me a base to ogive measurement of 2.820 and bullet is seated .001 off the lands. I had my rifle throated for the 215 bergers specifically.

Load info
Hornady brass,cci250 primers, 68.7grs. H1000
2995fps
ES of 11 and es.jpg

sd.jpg the SD was 5.

Rick
Very nice...
Looks like we think alike.
Your numbers are just what I strive for!

Im working on seating right now. Im at 65.2 gr. H1000 and 3.360 OAL and I moved the target to 200 yards and shot this group today with a 10 to 15 MPH 2 O clock wind.(there are three shots the one on the far left is a hole punch for the three ring binder) any thoughts?

Caleb, good looking group I'm guessing the one that is out a little bit could be attributed to wind, looking at where it is. I would try shooting again when the wind lays down a little or you can get a 12 or 6 o'clock wind. When I am testing for groups I really like to have no more than a 5mph wind if at all possible or I will set up with it at 12 or 6 I prefer 6 but that is just me. Like I said very good group.

Ya the wind snuck up on me kinda fast! ..so if I get that one into the other two..that would be a load that I could expect with the VLDs ? And it would be one that I could play with at 800 and beyond ?

A front moved in today and gave me a 5 to 8 mph 6 o clock wind. This is five shots from a cleaned barrel..I marked them order shot. (200 yards)
