very old mule deer mount

here is a pic i took many years back. it is a mule deer mount in an old rach house that i use to stay in while hunting on this ranch back in the early 70's. my grandpa had been hunting on this ranch going back into the 50's and this buck was hanging in there then. the rancher said that a ranch hand had shot it before he owned the ranch . sorry but i do not know much more then that.

Boy I like that buck. That's what it's all about. Not real easy in the 50's. Near impossible today on public land.

that old ranch house was full of old mounts but this is the only pic i think i still have from inside of it. wish i would have taken a few more . was always really good mule deer hunting on that ranch back then
