Oh yeah, my first stock got a bit, shall we say, thin on one side? Enough so that I started over. The bits drilled true right up until I needed the extension to go as deep as I wanted to. The joint between the extension and the bit is a mite wobbly and on the second stock I had to 'steer' the bit around a bit to keep it going on center.
Some might say that I cheated a little, I dislike DBM's hanging out of the stock, but Howa Mini's come only that way. So I shortened the mag to as flush as I could easily get it. That brought the round count down to 3 total.
I mostly posted because I want to see what others are up to. OP, like the thread a lot!
