Whatever it was, that is impressive at over 1,000 yds. My guess is something like 338 lupua or a 30 cal mag of some sort. I would be shocked if you said 6.5 or 308.

6XC! 115gr DTAC! I have made many 4-5in 5x groups. Not that hard if conditions are ok and your ammo is better than good. Done it with a 6br and 105gr bergers too.

Are you going to mount it? Would look really nice over the mantle.

We don't have rocks like that in ENC. Long distance we have, but not at something solid like that unless we put it out there.

Nice shooting.

Thats a great idea for the granite rocks! I usually shoot steel and paper at 1k and have a drone cam concoction with remote viewer to be able to see my hits. My new 1k spot has a 100 yd wide cut bank littered with 1 moa and under sized rocks so sometimes i will just go up and shoot them instead of packing targets etc hassle. The nice thing about rocks is you always see your hit by the puff of smoke. And sometimes can see misses by a splat in the mud or dust, depending on season.

Here is my latest bank..white spot is a pile of old logs
