Tried the "Ladder test" today

Tried the test with my .300 win mag 1-9 twist and 220gr. MK's with H1000 powder and Federal BR primers. Started 20 times .3 gr. back from max and went from there. They shot all over hell with no ryme or reason inside a 4" circle at 300 meters. Then when I got near max. it put the last 4 shots into .423moa. I guess thats how its done and thats my sweet spot. Now Im going to do the same thing with 240 MK's and Retumbo.

Hey Moose,

Try the red box federal 215 primers on those. The BR primers are not very hot to light such stuff as H1k and retumbo. You can drop a match on H1000 in a pile on your sidewalk and not light it.
