Hi guys,

Wanted to get a thread up as a formal introduction. New optic company and new vendor sponsor for LRH. We've been gaining some more momentum and want to be a bigger part of more of the online hunting/shooting community. You may have heard the name in some other posts on various sites or not heard of us at all, but I wanted to give brief rundown of what TRACT does and offers.

To get right to it, Tract Optics was formed by hunters & shooters who came from other outdoor optics companies who were tired of being held back when putting products out in the market (About Us) . TRACT has a more unique business model than most sport optics companies….we sell direct to consumer only. No added on margin for middle men, retailers, or distributors. We want to put high quality optics out there at the best prices imaginable. If you know business and how margins work, you can see how much of an impact that has on keeping more money in your pockets.

We came out end of last year with our Binocular line…the Toric series being the Flagship. Using Schott factory ED glass with some of the best coatings out there, our own enhanced ocular design for wider FOV, made in Japan, we've really engineered these to give consumers that "wow" factor.

We also recently released the first series of riflescopes, the Toric name also representing the top tier on this category. Once again, coming out of one of the most respected optics factories in the world, using Schott HT glass, Zero Stop turrets, Glass etched reticles, were giving users 4" of constant eye relief and a wider than norm FOV through a newly designed eyebox. All covered by our Tract Trust Assurance lifetime guarantee.

We brought this initial product offering out with some of the hunter's true needs in mind.we're not stopping there, we have more optics in development to fill the wants and needs of target and competition shooters; AR, Rimfire, etc. As well as more of those desirable features we as hunters and shooters look for but couldn't find for those more reasonable prices.

We all know talk is only as good as the results prove... and that proof is in the use. So, here's a few links to some reviews and articles written by some guys that have already begun putting Tract through the paces.

Me personally, I came on board with Tract earlier this year after first looking through the 10x42 Toric binocular I was taking to South Africa. The optic and price blew me away and I wanted to be part of it. I'm about 12 years into the hunting/optics industry and have worked with, used, and/or have owned just about every optic brand out there…but there's always room for a quality optic at a better price in my mind.

Great concept. Now build us some long range reticles or dial rigs and let the games begin. The stuff on your site doesn't look ideally suited to the LR game. Would love to see a MOA based reticle w 30+ minutes and wind in it.

Todd, appreciate the comments. Being a new company we felt it best to make a corner stone in the more 'classic' hunting optic arena. The traditional 3-9's, 2.5-10's and 3-15 on the high end. Also going with a duplex derivative and basic BDC.

That being said, lots of irons in the fire on the PD side and higher mag models and more reticles coming out. So, any feedback is greatly appreciated. We're going to build optics that are more LR suited, but I'm sure there are a lot of members here that have wants and needs in the middle magnification and TRACT may suit you there for now.

Putting quality glass and tough constructed optics out without those added margins leaves more money for the hunt. We'll keep building the products to better round out that offering.

Just picked up a zeiss HD5 3-15x50 for the same price as your equivalent, might have to get one of yours on order with that discount and see how they compare. I've seen your scopes a bit this year via social media outlets and they seemed to get some good remarks.

Wish you guys well, if I have need of a short range rig I will give you a look. I understand how hard a startup is and that you cant do everything at once. I will assure you that once you are ready to enter the LR market, there is plenty of demand.

In the next 2 weeks may be a really good time to look for the 3-15 Toric scopes...I'll post more info, but there will be a Xmas promo on them coming out. It be great to see your SXS comparison report as we've seen them head to head with a few other brands now.

"How 'bout a 7X35 Porro prism? "

We'll probably stay with roof prisms for the meantime. More demand in that arena and better for a newer company.

Thanks!

I know someone before mentioned it, but 18-25x, 30mm maintube, MOA reticle, zero-stop and 20moa/rev, 1/4moa turrets would be the cats meow. Maybe uncovered elevation turret and covered shorter length windage turret for us guys that put rifles in scabbards would be awesome.

I know that there is a couple companies that offer this, but I am always open to new ones when they got the right stuff!
