[QUOTE="44-40, post: 2872771, member: 126985"] I've had 5 right shoulder surgeries, and tons of physical therapy, & bolts to hold it together...it basically did not work...a little less pain if I don't use it much...have no upward strength to lift. The last surgeon said "you have a crapy shoulder." And offered pig tissue transplant to bolster the sholder, and clip the biceps tennon to relieve pain. I said no thanks. Cortisone injections mostly do not work, If the injection is a "combo shot" with lidocaine with cortisone it will be somewhat more effective...and take the "neck injection" after surgery to numb the shoulder for about 8 hrs, and ask for morphine tabs for under the tongue for pain relief, along with the ice water pump machine to freeze shoulder., to keep swelling down...then go to physical therapy for a year, 2 or 3 times a week...do all the exercises, religiously... the computerized exercise machines don't lie,...I was losing strength after a certain amount of time after surgery...about 4 to 6 months after... these medical surgery proceedures did not work for me. Maybe you'll have better luck, roll the dice. But I carry around some 12 mm bolts incase I need to repair a vehicle...they looked ridiculously, excessively large in the X-ray, seemed like 6mm or 8 mm would have done the job...must have been a sale on large medical hardware that day.
