i have 1 already, a 6.5 - 20 and really like it.
nice clear optics, precise returnable tracking, and not to exspensive.

looking at getting a 3-9 for a hunting rifle, and would like to hear anyone's expereience's with them..
good bad or otherwise.
and your thoughts comparing them to other scopes in like price range.

Friend bought a 4.5-14x50 with the finger turrets and side parralax.......so far we like it only thing we havnt done is take a peak through it in low light.....kinda looking for one myself now so far they run $729.

In their price point I think the Zeiss Conquest series scopes are the best buy on the market. I find them to be brighter and clearer than comparable Leupolds. Repeatabilty on the box test with the Zeiss Conquest has been spot on.

Thats the best price I found for it and I looked up your site....I will be calling! Might even call today price is right its alot easier to get past the wifeee.....

In 2002 I bought a Conquest 4.5 x 14 for a Weatherby Ultra Lightweight 300 WBY mag. Two of my buddies each bought one as well for a 300 Win mag and a 300 RUM. As of this year mine has been replace twice and each of the others has been replaced once. Apparently the recoil is too much for them and after about 40 rounds a lens comes loose inside the scope -- you can actually shake the scope and hear it rattle. That makes 4 bad scopes out of five so far. Beware!

Zeiss customer service laughed and stated "LESS THAN ONE PERCENT" returned.

Last place I read that was on the door 3rd Ranger battalion(training) Eglin AFB FL..........."00B". I think I'll take my chances.

NYLES,

We basically get zippo returns back on Zeiss. Since we started our business (over 5 years ago), we have had 2 Zeiss returns and those 2 were, a broken lens when delivered (maybe UPS fault) and the second one was the turret would not turn all the way around.

I bought a 4.5x14-44 from John 3-4yrs ago and have treated it pretty rough. It's been on a 25-06 mostly but went through a 60ish round load developement 338 wm sporterweight.
I knocked it off the washing machine and it landed right on the objective len.It shot an inch low and half inch right --couple of clicks and back on the money.<-Needless to say i was ticked-off at myself!
I have a 6.5x20 now and a 3x9 both bought from The Optic Zone = John.Used each quite a bit and no problems.
Burris-leupold a not in the same class as a zeiss-imo.
A friend has a high-end swarovski and in a side by side comparison i couldn't tell any difference whatsoever.
Comparing zeiss to a nikon monarch i have makes the nikon look like a turd.
John has the best prices i've found on zeiss get one --then start trying to figure out how to replace all you other mid-grade scopes.

Being a small dealer, I've had issues with the last three Conquests purchased. From adjustments not precise to cosmetics flaws. All 4.5-14x44mm. Actually a scope I had good luck with in the past on a couple of my personal rifles.
