Im buying a Sendero in 300 Weatherby and was thinking of swapping barrels to change calibers. My question is what calibers would I be able to change to without changing my bolt.

Virtually any round that ends with magnum, however you must give consideration to your actions feed rails. Right now they are set up to feed the 300 wby, but if you decide to go with a chambering smaller than that of the 300 wby feeding issue may ensue, If you decide to push up larger feed rails can always be opened up.

Now what should you pick? Well that all depends on what you want to do with the rifle? You already have one of the largest 30 cal offerings there is right between the 300 win mag and the 300 RUM. So if I was you I would step up to the 338 round, either the RUM, Norma, or the EDGE.

Look at the top of this section and there is a sticky called Bolt face diameters and it should have
most of the available cartridges you can use.

And as ICANHITEMMAN said the 300 Weatherby is a good and powerful cartridge somewhere in the middle of the pack .

Personally is shoot it and see how it shoots. If you completely opposed you could probably bring it in to a smith and have them chamber it into a rum. All the older senderos I've dealt with have all been great shooters. That's the only reason I would ever thing of rechambering a factory barrel. But as I said I'd try it the way it is. If you want to swith calibers I would look at the 7stw the 300rum and a 338 edge

Thanks guys for all the replies. I really like the 7mm mag and that was what i was thinking of changing to but I may end up liking the Weatherby.
