The NY political scene has always been NYC and a few other cities vs the rest of the State. Almost anywhere outside of commuting distance of these cities, the mindset is the polar opposite of the stereotypical NY'er. The 'problem' politicians won't set foot in some areas of the state. At least not without prior announcement. For example, Sen. Chucky Shumer claims to visit every county in the state at least once a year but I never hear about him visiting an area near me until a day after he has left. As for the LE officers who will be the first line in implementing the law, word has it that most won't enforce it IF we, the gun owners don't flaunt it. But they will use the law if someone happens to be a jacka$$. That's a start but certainly not the end all. The lawsuits will need to be successfull to remove, nullify or repeal the law. To those here on LRH who live in NY, go to www.nysrpa.org and www.scopeny.org for info on the law and how it is being contested. If you haven't been to one of the rallys, find the time to do so. I've been to Albany a few weeks ago and few smaller local ones since then. The turnout at the Accord NY FH breakfast last week was much better than expected. I know money is tight and all of us have to support our households but please find the time to do something. I'm coyote hunting this weekend but I'll be in Albany on the 28th. Thanks to everyone who is helping and will be helping. FH
