im just getting started in long range shooting. and i have a 300 savage. i usually use 180gr. never really had a brand i like better than the other, but that was prob because i got out once or twice i year for a elk hunt or just for some target practice.
now that i'm wanting to see how the savage works for me i would like to know what to start with as for factory ammo. i'm thinking a 150gr? what brand would you recommend and why? i might get into reloading but for now its impractical as i'm just getting started... i would like to zero my gun at 300 yds. and hopefully shoot to 600 yds. or further with some practice.
