I have been looking at and researching MOA based reticle scopes. I am looking for a grid type reticle for quick precise follow up shots with MOA based subtensions and adjustments for easier math when ranging and smaller adjustment increments with quality glass and front focal plane minimum 20x. It would be put on a savage 12 LRP 6.5 creedmoor and maybe a savage 111 300WM. I would like to stay at or under $1500 mark. I currently am using Pimary Arms 4-14x44 FFP with R-Grid reticle MIL based. I like it but I can really see the need for better glass at further distances and varying conditions. It has worked well sub 1/2 MOA groups at 500yds even took out a jack rabbit at 780yds with it. The Leupold Mark 4 lr/t 6.5-20x50 with the TS-29 X1 reticle seems to be the close to what I am wanting as far as quality and criteria but it isn't a FFP scope. I contacted Leupold and they said the MOA subtensions are calibrated for max power setting so 20x. The next I have seen would be the Burris XTR II 8-40x50 with F-Class MOA reticle. It isn't a full grid type reticle is the down fall there. Anybody have experience with these 2 or others they would recommend? Sorry for the wordy post just wanting to lay out my thought process. Thanks in advance for the input!!!
