Yes it been a while since I've been on here so bare with me.

Took a friend to a spot I like to call late summer just before deer season lots of dogs in here.
1 set we sat 80 yds inside the timber and called out to a range cattle pasture, Had a double coming in shot the leader and the other bails I finally get it to stop and miss a 250 yd shot shucks.......

Coyote was standing just inside the trees when it met the Savage.

So couple weeks ago I called Don ans ask if he wanted to go calling behind his place he said sure. Next morning it was raining not hard but it was gonna be wet,I left it to Don and he didn't like the idea of callng the rain but I told him Coyotes gotta eat and it don't matter if its raining or not.
So he gave in and we went. 1st set up had this male come in to kitten cries made a good 60 yd shot.

Ok now last one..............................
I just got permission to hunt 150 acres south of the town I live in.
Scouted it yesterday and called it this morning. 1st 2 sets were bunk......3rd one after 5 mins this female came in. She stopped @ bout 200 yds looking at my Mojo then she just hit the gas straight for Mojo...I thought Mojo was gonna be a goner I didn't think I was gonna get her to stop she charged straight in....I started whistling rapidly she slowed and stopped around 100 yds I gave her the BOOM,FLOP treatment. good sized female exit was huge center chested her but bullet came out her right shoulder.
This is the 1st Coyote I've shot with my Tikka T-3 lite since I had it Dura Coated broke it in again still a slayer not many Coyotes had a day after meeting my Tikka.

What are the specon your rifle and what loads you running. Do you get much fur damage.

I just got rid of my coyote gun looking for a new one. I am leanning towards a tikka 243. had a 223 and loved it.

I bought my Tikka cause it was already light. I wanted it easier to maneuver so I had a local gunsmith cut the barrel to 16" from the bolt face and installed a Vais muzzle break. I also bought an EGW Picatanny rail and Warne rings for a more solid scope platform then had a friend Dura Coat it since it was a blue rifle.
Its a 243 and I shoot a 75 gr vmax powered by 42gr of H414 and the muzzle velocity was chronographed @2850 and it shoots sub 1/2 in groups.
Fur damage is usually minimal with the exception of the last couple that hit bone and opened softball hole in the victims.
All told I spent around 1000$ on it and love it. Down side is with the break you need hearing protection but I built this rifle for coyotes nothing else I use electronic muffs on stand.

Hope this helps you out,Also the Tikka in my opinion has the best adjustable trigger on the market hands down over any and I mean any factory rifle. It is a clean breaking assembly with no creep and the bolt works flawless easily the smoothest operating rifle on the market.
