I had a chance to look at a Thompson Center Precision Hunter the other day, on the gun shop wall. It looked pretty impressive with its integrated rail & lug and it started me thinking about how suitable it might be for a custom build.
Has anyone with the proper equipment ever sized up the Icon action to see just how well it is put together in terms of its tolerances and squareness, etc ... I'm wondering if TC is really putting out a top quality (near custom) action with the Icon, or if it still needs a lot of the same action work as say, a remington for example.
