I am just wondering how many of you people use tatical scopes IE leupold MarkIV for there hunting applications? I can see no drawbacks to having a tatical scope on a hunting rifle. Even if at certain hunting situations you are not able to use all the features of a tatical scope (moa adj). Am i wrong in thinking this. I am looking at buying a MarkIV lrt and just wondering what you think?

I use Nightforce

I am using a 4.5-14 Mk4 tmr reticle on my rifle and love it.

At first I was concerned about the adjustment dials being bumped out of adjustment but I have found this not to be the case for two reasons. First they have enough resistence built into them and second I would notice just by looking at the number/line on the dial. I have found this to be the case with the bushnell tactical I have as well.

IOR Tactical scope with MP-8 reticle. I owned other tactical scopes, with mildot, but the best far now is the new generation of half mil hash line. More easely to range and use for holdovers, and of course for quick shots.

Leupold Mark 4's

I have 2 Remington 300 RUM's w/ M4 8.5-25x50 , 1 Rem 700 .308 LTR w/ MK 4 4.5-14x50 , 1 Rem 673 300 SARUM w/ MK 4 4.5-14x50 & 1 Rem 700 204 Ruger w/ MK 4 8.5-25x50. All my scopes have the Holland reticle. I love them. Longest kill is a cow elk at 1092 yards ranged with range finder with the 300 RUM. Dispatched a coyote last week at 719 yards with my 204. Swarovski Range finder. Hope this helps.
