Had a chance to hunt in S. Africa this summer. I had been looking for a nice pig for several days and it came down to the last 30 mins of day light on the last day. I shot the hog at about 45 yrds with 250g SST 150 g 7-7-7 in the front shoulder. Since we were down to the last light, we didn't wait to start track him and found him about 60 yrds away. I gave him a quick poke to check if he was dead, but to our suprise he starting moving. We quickly back away and and watch him for a few minutes. The PH decided I should shoot him again. I used the PH's 375 H&H since I didn't have time to reload after the first shot. I couldn't belive it but the hog got up after I hit him a second time from 15 yrd before falling over.... dead.
