The Marlin Model 70P (Papoose) is quite neat in that you can remove the barrel quickly. Trouble is, there is only one barrel for it that shoots .22LRs.

Why not additional barrel options for rounds like Aguila 60 gr (1:9") or the CCI 29gr CB Cap (1:24")?

I have found that rounds other than the .22LR are not accurate enough in the .22LR chamber.

Actually, what Marlin ought to do, is make a bolt action with the Papoose-type switch barrel. And Ruger could make a bolt action Charger with the switch barrel feature.

In times like we're in, there just would not be enough buyers, I suppose!

There are rifles that lend themselves to switching barrels and with the custom barrel makers
you can get some very accurate barrels.

The Ruger M77 22 can be changed and the savage also.

If you want special chambers you gust have to buy the extra barrels with no chamber. After
chambering you head space and then drill the lock pin for that barrel setup. then all you have to
do is remove the pin and that barrel and reinstall the different barrel and insert the pin to
Head space that barrel.

Some extra barrels come with shims foe the barrel to reciever fit and Head space it.

It is not only possible but practical in some cases.
