Swarovski Products - international shipping

Hi guys,

I'm chasing a Swarovski Compact Tripod Head (CTH) and found a couple of used ones in US photographic stores. They ship to most countries around the world but don't list shipping to Australia as an option, so I emailed and asked if this was a simple omission as I have ordered a lot of kit from the US in the past.

The response I got from both stores was that: "We can no longer ship to Australia because of the recent tax change". I can't find anything online relating to this, anyone have any ideas? I hope that this is incorrect as I but a lot of my kit from the US.....

Just looked at their website and they do ship to Australia but sadly don't have any used heads in stock. I'm totally confused with what the other companies told me then

It does mate and I just don't understand why..... I found another used one and was told the same thing (can't remember who the retailer was without scrolling through Emails)

That's what I thought - It was used Swarovski parts I was enquiring about that I was told they could not ship to Australia because of the recent 'tax change'.

Our Govt in NZ introduced a system where overseas companies are required to register and charge GST and then pay it to our Govt. A lot of companies decided it was easier to not supply Kiwi customers. Maybe your Govt has done something similar?
