I try to take advantage of any day I can get out and shoot (once or twice a month). Well the only day I get to shoot has this wonderful weather. Luckily the wind will be pushing from my 5:00 or 6:00 so it won't be too bad (I hope).
I'm predicting my .308 should be ok out to 700/800 yds. It will be fun to play in the wind.
My .223 is gonna gonna suffer.
I'll make a video. This could get comical.

If anything, I'll notch it under my belt as a DOPEing opportunity, if anything a learning lesson.

Gotta love that high tech analysis :D

Aye Sir! But I got a little help ...

Man... I may be eating a big piece of humble pie.
O! Well at least I'll be behind the long gun and not in the office. (Though I may wish I was in the office if I can't get any trace or splash at 100 yards :D)

Gotta learn, Gotta learn, Gotta learn!!!!

Typical day here in West Texas. Gets so I have problems not automatically adjusting for wind on those rare calm days!

Well... I'm reminded that "humiliating" and "humbled" share a root word. Hmmmmmmm......

Good learning lesson. Especially dealing, watching, wind gusts.
The wind was constants between 15-20. But random gusts would blow up. What was most deceiving was my firing point was completely covered and protected. Feeling almost nothing. Looking down hill there were 3 tree line openings. It seemed like each opening would push the wind a different direction.

Out to 600 was ok because of hill behind me and only one tree line opening. Beyond that... well it was humiliating or humbling or both. O! Well day in the woods and not in office.
