Supreme Court gives law suit go ahead

I read this morning that the supreme court gave the go ahead for victims family's of the Newtown shooting the go ahead to sue the gun manufacture(remington/bushmaster).

Pretty soon we'll be sueing car manufactures for the drunk driver or the guys that decides to plow into a crowd with there vehicle-same thing different weapon!
Setting a precedent for no manufacturing in the USA for fear of a lawsuit

This is not odd, they kick it back and let it work its way through lower courts for a while and see if it settles then they take it up after it's been mulled over in the lower courts.

What I read about it was that it was some advertising that got them in trouble. That, and violent video games.
I thought 'they' all decided that it wasn't the video games fault? And how can a gun manufacturer have ANYTHING to do with a video game?

I agree with the previous post- the only question is do we sue the car manufacturer or the cell phone company when someone kills people because they were texting on their phone while driving?

All we can hope for is that the lawsuits don't go anywhere,, prey for a conservative judge and jury! Unfortunately complete rule # 4!;-)

Lawyers are the detriment of our country.

Good portion of the politicians are lawyers which makes complete sense. They're slowly but sure taking away all of our rights and freedoms!
