Suppressor Use by Minor

Take a pic of it with your phone, I'm not carrying my paperwork and haven't seen any laws that says i have to. As far as the minor goes, they can't be on a trust so they can't use it alone.

You need to have your Tax Stamp Papers where ever the Suppressors goes and has to be the named person on the paperwork to accompany the suppressor. Our paperwork is available at all times in our shooting gear if bringing any Tax Stamp Suppressor or SBR. SAVES you a LOT OF TROUBLE. We have "TRUSTS" on all our suppressors and SBRs. If you get caught with a SBR or Suppressor and you are not the owner, or the owner is not present with proper paperwork GOOD LUCK!!!
Luckily we don't live in east Germany and papers please get a laugh. Police cannot just ask you for paperwork on something that is perfectly legal to own. They'd need probable cause that you cannot own it. Further, that's tax documents. Not a permit.

That's my understanding as well. Andā€¦only ATF agents can ask for the verification of the tax stamp.

The nativity.
Given the manpower, or lack there of, if you're being asked for a tax stamp then you're being investigated. Hide your dog.

The standard of probable cause to be met is basically nothing for a collage drop out with a double digit IQ.

Having a Christmas tree scent dangling off your rear view mirror can be "probable cause." Your liberal neighbor calling you a gun nut klansman is probable cause.

While AK might treat their citizens like people, there's 12 states that CAN "check your papers."
It's commonly referred to "stop and identify."

If the federal government decides you're an enemy, it will not be a fair fight. If you don't have an army of lawyers behind you, and resources ($) good luck.

A judge isn't going to reject the affidavit for a warrant because the "probable cause" was actually reasonable suspicion. It happens all the time. Especially if you're not a big shot CEO or high profile person of some type.

I carry the stamp in the gun case and have a photo on my phone. I would not feel comfortable allowing my child to hunt with a suppressor, if I was not with them. I have met many outstanding LEO's and game wardens, but I have also ran across a few that I would not want to chance them being understanding or tolerant of grey area situations.
