Insured shipping will most likely be more than $20, but should be insured with the way they handle packages these days.

FYI if you use USPS try to keep the package less than 30" in length if possible. They have a few of $15 for packages over 30". If you can't it may be better to use UPS or fedex.

It was $43 to ship from GA to MT. +$7 for 33" $4.50 for insurance and $5 for spray paint. Yep, spray paint. Had to cover up the word savage on the cut down rifle box. My fault. Just a short walk from the post office to the hardware store, and I get to keep the balance of the paint. almost like Mr Willoughby already knew.
