stock in letting identification

Anyone able to tell what action this stock was set up for? The tang looks like the shape of a baby bottle nipple.

That tang, that's shaped like a baby bottle nipple, is known as a "clover leaf" tang. Not all pre '64s are like that.

Winchester model 54's had a tang shaped like that. The pre 64 model 70's had it until about 1950.
