Until the Peregrine line people only knew Steiner for their Military style bin's. While bombproof, the view wasn't all that great. They finally figured out that people wanted more. And as the story goes they enlisted some birders, known for being very particular about the view through their bin's, and for good reason. If you've ever gone birding you'll know what I'm talking about. It all has to work. The ergonomics, eye relief, field of view,,, everything. The end result was a bombproof elegance only seen in a few optics companies that I wont mention here.(Cough,thebig3,cough)
Honestly, it's taking all my will power to sell these. But I do have more that one set of bin's and no rifle at the moment.
