Sreech owl came back

We have this Screech Owl that has come back to rear another set of babies. Our ranch has prefect safe and weatherproof nest spot under the carport.

Well, if anyone gives a hoot, here are a couple of Burrowing Owls we saw this time last year near Malheur Lake National Wildlife Refuge. Taken with Nikon D850 with Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR Lens.

That's what they look like....huh...I see many of them..often....piles of feathers n the hwy..........not very smart....guess that's why they live in holes.....

They are also called "Howdy Birds" they pop up like they are saying "Howdy". While I was taking pictures one flew off and got nailed by a hawk. The hawk must have been hovering watching them.
