I have for sale a GAP built 6.5 SAUM that I purchased last spring and have never fired.

Shipped and insured for $2,600.

  • Lawton 700 LH action. Spiral fluted bolt
  • Bartlein 1:8.5 fluted GAP MTU contour (slightly smaller taper than a Bartlein MTU) that is finished at 28" including the Vais brake
  • McMillan A5 with adjustable cheek rest and length of pull
  • Badger bottom metal. Will come with one 3-round WSM mag
  • Timney trigger
  • Will include an additional .473 (.308 family) faced bolt that is cerakoted to match and spiral fluted.
  • GAP used the newer reamer with a .296 neck and .081 freebore
  • 50 pieces of Norma 300 SAUM brass 4x fired will go along for the ride
  • Shipped in the hard case that came from GAP.
The rifle has 920 rounds through it from the original owner who used it to bang steel out to 1500 yards. He used 60.8 grains of H1000 under 140 Hybrids, so it hasn't been run hot. I developed a vicious case of rifle ADHD and bought another 6.5 SAUM, otherwise this wouldn't be leaving my possession. The rifle is in excellent shape and shows very little wear.

My asking price reflects the usage on the barrel, however plenty of 6.5 SAUM users are getting 2,500-3,000 rounds on a barrel.

Bipod, scope, and rings are not included in the sale.

Re: GAP 6.5 SAUM - LH Lawton, Bartlein, McMillan

What is the weight of this rig?

Re: GAP 6.5 SAUM - LH Lawton, Bartlein, McMillan

It's just under 12 lbs. without the scope and bipod. Heavy contour, but the fluting helps.

Ok, plenty of interest here and elsewhere, but no takers yet. Drop to $2,500.
