That is why it is a Body and neck (bushing) die. Redding makes a neck only die for not bumping the shoulder, For .300 RUM you will need to full length size and push the shoulder every time with full power loads. I measure the shoulder with Sinclairs Shoulder Bump Gauge and use the Redding match shell holders to regulate the amount of depth the case goes into the die. I do also load some .308 level reduced loads with AC 5744 powder just for informal target fun. Those would not need shoulder treatment.
