I have a Douglas XX Air-Gauged stainless steel match-grade barrel threaded for the Remington 700 in 7mm Remington Magnum. It is 24" in length. The barrel's contour is magnum, which is a bit heavier than the standard barrels but smaller than a full-blown varmint barrel. The finish is stainless steel. Additionally, the barrel has been parkerized, greatly reducing rust and maintenance requirements and matting the finish considerably. This barrel is like new with only sixty-six rounds fired through it. It has completely a regimented break-in and has fired sub-MOA groups using both factory and handloads.
It would be an outstanding replacement barrel for your tired old 7mm Remington Magnum. Or have your 'smith chamber it for 7mm STW or 7mm Ultra Magnum for added reach.
