Sniper watch

Long ago I saw a program on shooting and the person used a sniper watch.
I have been thinking about it since, so I recently found several dealers on the net.

Does any here on the site use one or at least know how good they are?

In what aspect was the watch used:

• Simply telling the time
• Some sort of angel indicator
• Speed/velocity measurement
• Point of impact measurement?

I noticed on the Internet the 5.11 H.R.T. watch claims to "calculate point of impact by inputting critical values" Can be seen here.

What other links have you got.

It was a guy shooting highend 338 LM for the military, taking enemy paper targets at a mile, he put all data into his watch and did indeed hit spot on.

So to answer your question, he used it instead of a pda.

But it was a 100k rifle, guess the watch wasent cheap. But would like to know if those watches which us "normal" people can afford to buy are good...?....

Buddy of mine had one in Iraq. After sending it back for repairs twice and waiting a month for a returm each time he just sent it back for good. Seemed like a good piece of gear when (if) it would stay running.
