Going back to my 3x9 - 40 with bdc reticle, I've found it does everything I needed to. The sightron is a great scope for someone who wants to go out to 1000 or more. I've just accepted my limitations and don't want the added bulk or weight. 10 oz is almost a days worth of food on a backpack hunt.

I'm with you. I'm going back to the 40,42mm objectives. I've shot to a 1000 with my 40mm vxlll. No problemo.
