I bought the scope from a store closing sale where it was on a counter display mount; I was told that it was unused but there is scuff (Pic #2) on the magnification ring and there was no paper work in the box so I can't confirm that it wasn't mounted previously - however, there are no ring marks or shadows so it doesn't look as if it was mounted before. The range-finder was also a display item. I have not personally used either item but I just lased out in the yard and the range finder works and battery's apparently good.
