It looks like they side eject. I knew that the Winchesters pitched the empty's out the top,,, so the plan was to look at a side mount optic system...
Don, don't forget 94's come in Angle Eject (AE) also. Just read an article in Guns&Ammo (Nov19) by Craig Boddington on the Model 1894...good read.
The used Browning BAR's are some what pricey up here...they are pricey and not all that. Never been a semi-auto man myself. Have one at my house that I'm "tinkering" on for a wife's cousin. Brand new practically, .270WSM, Leupold 3.5-10X50...shoots 5-6" "patterns" at 100yds!
In my opinion, the 94's are nostalgic but the 336's are a tad more accurate....
Good luck in your search...if the arthritis in my hands/thumbs gets worse, I may have to ditch my heavy barrels and go lighter...hum..maybe a 460S&W....
