Short barreled 28 Noslers?

To make a long story short, I built a 28nos with your standard 26" proof barrel. Love it! Shoots amazing. The places I go a long barrel gets caught on enough stuff as it is, which i can live with. But! I like running a suppressor and it turns a little aggravating with the added length.
So I'm thinking of pulling the barrel and going to a 22". I wouldn't be opposed to a 20" either.

That being said, how many guys out there are running shorter barrels on 28s and what kind of performance are you seeing?

Main reason I want to stay with the 28 is because I already have a pile of reloading components for it.

I had a 22" 7 RUM, worked great suppressed.

A couple things to think about. You are automatically going to be going slower, which you probably know. Also, you are not going to be burning all your powder, so having a huge case like that is being defeated by cutting your barrel so short.

You may also want to tighten your twist rate too to ensure full stabilization. Recommend nothing shorter than the 22...
