Shooting ranges near CDA?

Likely moving to CDA area. Anyone local want to pm me with shooting ranges around?

Thanks
John
There is the https://www.cdarpc.org/ - it's convenient and worth it if you shoot a lot. It's one loooonnnnnggggg row of benches with rifle and pistol all on that one firing line. Some of the range masters are gruff and hard to talk to. For the most part, it does what you need. You just need to be willing to share and stop a lot.

There's also the https://www.frgc.org/ which is a BEAUTIFUL range, separated into multiple smaller ranges, so you can keep on shooting. It's very expensive to join (in my opinion), but it has a totally different flavor than the cda range.

There's also the national forest at your doorstep. Clean up after yourself and there's no problem.

Rumor has it that this next one has been shut down, but I don't care. Hayden Creek has a gravel pit where many people will/used to go shoot. Warning! You put your life into the hands of the A-Holes that shoot out there, hence why I don't care. I went once and will never go again, but you might find it satisfactory.

Finally, Farragut State Park has a range with funky hours based on season and volunteer RO availability. Current cost is $10 a day (used to be $5 :() . It is always busy, especially right before hunting season, so be warned if you're looking for a relaxing day.

I'll say this with all the people that's moved to CDA and Idaho in general a shooting range is a decent investment. Over here in Eastern Oregon there's less people but still it takes extra caution to make sure no one is down range. Regardless of if I'm just shooting or hunting. You'll see people clamoring over stuff that you'd never consider doing. Like rock piles where you'd expect a ton of rattle snakes would be. I glass my rock chuck hunting very carefully after living and hunting near Bend Oregon. And that was before it got crowded.
