Hey guys, I made a short video showing the power the 338 Lapua has against a cinder block at a distance of 500 yards. I'd say the 338 Lapua is quite a potent round. Hope you guy's enjoy the video!

Looks pretty good at such a short range. Next time lets see it at 1,000 yds.

I actually did do 1000 yards also but the camera got to hot and shut down, I really wanted to show the comparison. The damage done at 1000 yards is not much at all, it barley left 1/4" dents in the cinder block. I shot it about 5 times too because I was expecting to see it crumble in my scope. I was wondering if I even hit it but I knew I was hitting it because of the huge white puff clouds it would make on impact. I bet if I had solid rounds it would have done some damage at 1000 yards.

yep a hunting bullet like a barnes would have sailed right on through

We shot a 338 Lapua at 1100 yards while in S.D. The target was a 15 x 15 inch AR500 steel plate. While it didn't go through; it did leave quite the "dimple" and visible dark smear. Bullet was a Sierra Match King 250 gr. I was impressed and definitely would not want to be a bad guy being shot at with it! It would ruin his day.

Remnants of a cinder-block shot at 1200 Yards with a 338 Edge. 300 gr Berger OTM.

First shot took off top half, second demolished the bottom half.gun)
