Shipping powder and primers

Does anyone have any experience in shipping rifle powder and primers?
I am doing a long range school in September in Billings Montana and would like some info on how to ship powders and primers to my class as i am a hand loader.

It is pretty much impossible unless you have a license or know someone that does. You can ship ammo UPS

Who is teaching long range shooting in Billings, Montana? That’s the question as the other poster said it is nearly impossible to get a license to ship powder and primer, but it is possible to ship loaded ammo all you want.

I think you can ship primed cases like ammo but you need certain credentials/insurance/training to ship powders and primers

I guess you could order the powder and primers from an online store and have it shipped from them to your class.

So are you flying to Billings for this class? How do you plan to hand loading while at the class if this is the case?

Why not have a solid load…already loaded prior to traveling to the class?

In the back of your car, unless you can get an authorized shipper to ship your stuff but I doubt it

Order from factory sent to the school, or drive it out. Some FFL’s are certified hazmat shippers but most are not.

A lot of folks have bench top setups they pack to the range with them. Not uncommon to see
