I already have rcbs shell holder #38 for my 28 Nosler. I am going to start reloading for 300 win mag. RCBS says I need shell holder #4 but no one has them. The 300wm brass seems to fit just fine in the #38. What kinda issues do I need to watch for or am I setting myself up for headaches and need to wait till I can find a #4?

I use a #4 for my PRC and they say to use #38. I haven't had any issues. My rifle shoots under .5 moa consistently. But I dont shoot competitively.

If there's not enough of the rim in the shell holder you might stick a case in your sizing die. I have 2 different nbr shell holders that appear the same but I once stripped the rim off a 3006 case using the wrong one.
