Sendero contour for an Edge???

Is a Sendero contour large/rigid enough for an Edge build? Going to have 6 straight flutes and finish at 29".

I wwould like to try and pack this gun occasionally so I don't want it too heavy.

Yes that profile should work fine, you might want to utilize a little more straight shank in front of the lug than what Remmington uses on their rifles. Might also consider 28"+brake for a packing rifle.

The non fluted sendero contour will weigh about 4lbs 14 oz.

Fluting will not remove that much (about 8 oz).

For a barrel that long if you want it fluted I would recomend a #6 contour.

Thanks for the info so far. I have already ordered it...I can still change it if I want. I was just wondering if it will be sufficient to allow for maximum accuracy without weighing a bunch.
