MADE AN ERROR AND PUT 110 IN TITLE, SHOULD BE 116.
I had this semi custom 7Rem Mag built about 5 years ago from Fred Moreo at Sharp Shooter Supply. I had hopes of using this as a long range rifle on hunts and the three hunts it's been on I've ended up shooting animals at less than 200 yards. Gun is also a little heavier than I had hoped it would finish out at and I'm hoping to build something I'm going to shoot more. Gun has exactly 120 rounds through it, mostly hornady 162g eldx precision hunter. Best group with factory ammo 3/4" at 100 yards.
Specs:
Manners EH5A elite hunter painted flat black
Bartlein .284 1-9 twist 3b contour barrel finished at 26 inches and bead blasted finish. Chambered and assembled by Fred.
Savage 116 pre 2003 blued action trued and timed by Fred. Bolt was fluted and colored by Fred as well. Custom bolt handle from Chuck Lentz at ridgewaybodies.
Rifle Basix trigger
SSS heavy recoil lug
Murphy Precision 20MOA rail
Leupold mark 4 30mm heavy duty rings (sorry I don't recall what height they are but they are big heavy duty beasts)
Gun is pillar and glass bedded as well as barrel free floated. Weight as is with heavy duty rail and rings is just over 10 pounds. With the leupold vx-5 on it weighed just about 11.5 pounds total.
Gun has some small blemishes from being used in the field. You can see in the pictures there is one small paint chip where I removed the bolt before dropping the adjustable cheek piece and it chipped a very small piece of paint off. Had a friend clean the gun after using it on a hunt and somehow the cloth or rag he used to wipe down the barrel left some very minor hairline scratches in the bead blasted barrel. I tried to show them in the pics. Asking $1300 shipped. I have well over $2000 into this rifle.
I think that just about covers it. I apologize for the long post but wanted to get everything out there. Excuse the oil on the stock I had just gave it fresh gun oil coat earlier in the day. Contact me here by PM. THANKS
