Good morning,

Curious what everyone uses for solvent when cleaning your pistols. Not single shot hunting types, but semi-autos.
I used to/still use No9, but today tried some BTE and was a little disppointed. Thought it would clean up a little better/easier than it did based on my experience with it in rifles. Only 50 rounds through with 9mm so not real dirty.

If it leaves it this dirty, makes me curious what it is not doing for my rifles, although can't complain about accuracy or pressure due to a carbon ring. I do not have a bore scope, but never experienced it.

I use Kroil to clean and then wipe them down and lubricate with FP-10.
I soak the barrel with a wet patch of Kroil and after I finish cleaning the slide and frame I use a dry patch with a tight fitting jag to clean the bore. Lead will just slide out.
