ok so first I want to start by saying have you ever had it? Second here is why i ask. I feel i have to many rifles that don't get shot and I'm worried if i sell them i will have sellers remorse. Here it goes, I have a Winchester model 70 300 wsm with a heavy varmint barrel, now this rifle i bought right took me a while but it will shoot a ragged hole with 165 Barnes ttsx but only at 3024fps. that wasn't fast enough switched to hammer and bumped it up to 3200fps and still holds just over half in and under three quarter minute, and it holds it out to 600 which is as far as I've tested this rifle. the next rifle is a Remington sps 270 wsm another labor of love really really tight chamber but shoots and honest 12 shot group under 3/4 inch and again holds it to 500. i have prairie dog kills at 394 and 404 and my personal best mule deer buck, my wife shot an antelope at 384 yards and a whitetail at 420 something clean kills. Then a never shot 700 adl in 30-06 dead uncle gave to the wife same with a Howa 308 then a Remington long range in 25-06 less than 3 boxes of factory ammo through it. This is where i get hung up, i have a 300 rum being built for the wife, she also has a 26 Nosler she loves. Then we have a 7 rum,28 Nosler, I love, 6.5-300 bee killed my biggest whitetail with this and shoots lights out, 6.5 Sherman short that i finally pick up this week and this is my first semi custom gun, a tikka 300 win that is turning in to a 6mm sst, 6mm creed(targets and Coyotes and i shot a goat with it because why not). 260 Remington in a 700 mountain shoots great and the first Christmas present to me from my father in-law, 257wby straight up killer and wont sell, and last i believe that is relevant is I'm putting a 338 edge barrel on my old rum that i shot out. Now that you have most of the information needed. Would you sell the 270 wsm,300 wsm,308,30-06 and 25-06 to fund and finish builds or upgrade scopes ect, I haven't sold many guns in my life and I'm concerned about sellers remorse, what has your previous experiences taught you. If you could go back and change it would you or where you glade they went down the road because of the outcome of moving them along. Sorry long winded but this has been an three hour conversation between the wife and I and we are stuck!

yea I sold a 1964 model 70 deluxe .270 PF ( wood was equivalent to a super-grade) for $350 trade in on a Ruger AR! Now I trying to find good model 70 push feeds to re-barrel.
If your not in need of the cash, just hang on to them. For 20 years I bought rifles, shot em and sold most of em for the next one. Alot I didn't care for and no biggie. There are about 80 of them that I would really like to have back and about a dozen that I am sick every time I think of them and the love lost. Guns like the 700 long range or other stock rifles - sell away. You can always replace them. The unique ones, unless you hate em, keep em.

In the exact same boat as you... I'm thinking about letting go and selling them if they haven't been shot. The few historical pieces/ones with meaning I'll keep.. I rather open my safe and see a few amazing rifles that I use instead of a cache of firearms collecting dust that I like to look at every now and then.. going through the same mental exercise as you though. It's tough.

Ive sold a few guns. I miss a couple, couldn't care less about a couple others. Looks like you have your bases covered and a number of cartridges that seem to fill the same role. If it was me I'd choose 1 of each. 26 Nosler or 6.5-300 Wby. 30-06 or 308. 28 Nosler or 7RUM. 270wsm or 6.5 ss. Thats 4 guns you no longer need to buy ammo or reload for and a couple nice scopes on the guns you keep.
Well it can be fore sale lol.
I have not sold any so no remorse. Like you there are a few that have not been shot in a while but I have two sons to pass it on to.
